At least 19 killed in attacks near Gaza hospitals
Stockholm, September 18 (Hibya) – At least 19 people were killed yesterday in attacks by Israeli forces on several hospitals in Gaza. Hamas described the operations, in which more than 80 civilians in Gaza were killed, as a clear war crime and a sign of disrespect to the international community.
Israeli forces carried out attacks yesterday near several hospitals still operating in Gaza. Al Jazeera also reported that military operations in Gaza City were increasingly claiming civilian lives.
According to health officials, 83 Palestinians were killed yesterday; at least 19 of them were near al-Shifa and al-Ahli hospitals. In the attacks on the hospital where wounded and sick children were being treated, dozens of patients were forced to flee.
About 40 patients and staff were trapped in the hospital. A nurse from Doctors Without Borders was killed when shrapnel struck her tent.
Hamas leaders consider the attacks, carried out just 24 hours after the UN declared Israel’s actions genocide, to be war crimes.
