Baqaei: This incitement to state terrorism must be condemned by everyone
Tehran, April 11 (Hibya) - Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baqaei, referring to assassination rhetoric against Iranian negotiators appearing in U.S. media and political circles, described the situation as “incitement to state terrorism”.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baqaei made assessments regarding the negotiation process continuing in Pakistan and statements coming from the U.S. side.
Reacting to the stance of U.S. officials and the media, Baqaei said: “While U.S. officials accuse Iran of being ‘devoid of good faith’ and of ‘blackmail’, some elements in U.S. policy and media openly recommend the assassination of Iranian negotiators if the negotiations fail.”
Emphasizing that such rhetoric is incompatible with diplomatic courtesy, Baqaei said: “Is this not a policy discourse that normalizes terrorism, violence, and the threat of murder, or blackmail through public incitement?”
Spokesman Baqaei concluded his statement by calling on international public opinion: “This open public incitement to state terrorism must be condemned by everyone.”
