Berendsen: Impunity for crimes against journalists is concerning
Amsterdam, November 2 (Hibya) - Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen delivered a message emphasizing the fight against impunity for crimes committed against journalists in a statement marking the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists.
Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen stated that crimes against journalists continue to go unpunished at alarming rates.
Berendsen reaffirmed the Kingdom of the Netherlands' commitment to combating this problem, announcing that the country would continue cooperating with the Media Freedom Coalition and supporting projects carried out by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
