Vilnius, February 20 (Hibya) - Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys stated that the European Union (EU) must preserve its competitiveness against external pressures.
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys made a statement regarding the economic threats facing the European Union and external pressure coming from China.
Budrys emphasized that the EU must establish a strategic line of defense to protect the structure of its single market.
Highlighting the importance of economic security, Budrys said, "The EU must protect its single market and competitiveness under increasing external pressure, especially from China. As with security in NATO, we need a strong economic defense focused on risk reduction, diversification, and selective decoupling."
