Bulgarian Prime Minister Gyurov presents government priorities to ambassadors
Sofia, March 5 (Hibya) – Bulgarian Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov met with the ambassadors of EU countries, the United Kingdom and Switzerland and shared the interim government’s priorities regarding election security, the rule of law and foreign policy objectives.
According to a statement from the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Bulgaria, Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov held a working meeting at the Council of Ministers with the ambassadors of the European Union member states, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, as well as the Head of the European Commission Representation in Bulgaria.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Gyurov conveyed the main areas of work of the interim government to the diplomatic representatives.
Stating that the government's primary commitment is to organize fair and transparent elections, Gyurov emphasized the importance of citizens’ trust in the electoral process. He said that in organizing the upcoming early elections they will strictly adhere to the principles of legality, professionalism and transparency, and noted that ensuring the effective functioning of the executive branch and maintaining state stability are the government’s main responsibilities.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov emphasized constructive dialogue and excellent cooperation with European partners. The Prime Minister thanked them for the broad support given to the country regarding Schengen and the Eurozone. Gyurov confirmed that Bulgaria is a reliable and predictable partner in the EU and NATO.
