Carney: Vietnam is Canada’s largest trading partner in ASEAN
Ottawa, September 26 (Hibya) – Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said trade relations with Vietnam are being strengthened, with the aim of creating new opportunities for Canadian companies in the Vietnamese market.
Canadian Prime Minister Carney said in a post on his social media account that Vietnam is Canada’s largest trading partner within the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
Carney said trade ties with Vietnam were strengthened this week and that the aim is to create more market opportunities for Canadian companies in Vietnam, which he described as one of the world’s fastest-growing consumer markets.
Carney noted that the efforts are intended to increase Canada’s exports and customer base while creating new opportunities for Canadian workers.
