Cassis strengthens humanitarian diplomacy cooperation in Geneva
Geneva, February 26 (Hibya) – Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis signed a renewed cooperation protocol with International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) President Mirjana Spoljaric Egger, reiterating the commitment to strengthen Geneva as a hub of humanitarian diplomacy.
Swiss Foreign Minister Cassis met with ICRC President Egger. As part of the meeting, a renewed cooperation protocol based on trust, complementarity, and respect for humanitarian principles was signed.
The protocol aims to strengthen cooperation between Switzerland and the ICRC, promote international humanitarian law, ensure predictable financing, and consolidate Geneva’s position as a global center of humanitarian diplomacy.
