Chancellor Merz: The German army is an integral part of our society
Berlin, June 15 (Hibya) – German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, in a statement regarding the societal role of the armed forces (Bundeswehr), thanked the men and women who serve or have served in the army.
In his statement, Merz said: “The Bundeswehr is an integral part of our society. The men and women who serve or have served in this institution deserve our gratitude, appreciation, and respect.”
Merz emphasized that serving Germany should be at the heart of society and underlined the importance of the duties undertaken by military personnel.
