Colombian President Petro commemorates historical symbols of the labor movement
Bogota, May 2 (Hibya) – Colombian President Gustavo Petro made a statement regarding the mass march held in the city of Medellin as part of May 1 Labor and Solidarity Day.
Colombian President Gustavo Petro commemorated the historical symbols of the labor movement.
Referring to the demonstration, Petro said: “This was the great demonstration carried out by the people of Medellin on May 1.”
In his speech, referring to historical figures, President Petro stated: “In memory of Maria Cano, the daughter of Medellin and the mother of all workers of Colombia, the mother of the little bees who will make Colombia the heart of the world.”
