In a statement issued by Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was said that Iran's Ambassador to Islamabad, Reza Amiri Moghadam, called on Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar.

The meeting discussed developments under bilateral institutional mechanisms aimed at strengthening cooperation in various fields following high-level visits between Pakistan and Iran.

Dar reiterated Pakistan's commitment to further deepen its relations with Iran in priority areas.

The evolving situation in the region was also discussed, with Dar emphasizing that dialogue and diplomacy remain the most effective way to resolve existing issues and achieve lasting peace, stability and prosperity in the region.
