Dar: Pakistan will continue to strengthen strategic cooperation with China
Cholpon-Ata, July 24 (Hibya) - Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Foreign Ministers Meeting held in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan.
Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Foreign Ministers Meeting held in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan.
According to the ministry, the meeting focused on bilateral relations, regional developments, and cooperation on multilateral platforms, with both sides holding a productive and candid exchange of views.
In his address at the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers Meeting, Dar thanked Wang Yi for supporting Pakistan's diplomatic efforts to promote regional peace and stability.
For his part, Wang Yi wished Pakistan success in its 2026-2027 presidency of the SCO Council of Heads of State and in hosting the SCO Summit in 2027.
