EU Commissioner Lahbib issues message of solidarity on the anniversary of the Valencia floods
Brussels, October 29 (Hibya) – European Union Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management, Hadja Lahbib, released a message marking the anniversary of the devastating floods that struck Valencia, Spain, last year.
In her statement, Lahbib said, “We all remember last year’s images; people were helping each other after the severe floods. It was a ray of hope in the midst of tragedy.”
The Commissioner noted that many people lost their lives, loved ones, and homes, adding, “Despite all the pain, the solidarity shown inspired us all. Today, we remember them.”
