Foreign ministers of Pakistan and China hold phone call
Islamabad, April 13 (Hibya) – Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a phone call with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
During the call, the parties exchanged views on the recently concluded Islamabad talks as well as the direct negotiations between the United States and Iran. Wang Yi appreciated Pakistan’s efforts to ensure peace and stability in the region and stated that China’s support for Pakistan’s constructive diplomatic role will continue.
For his part, Ishaq Dar emphasized that Pakistan sees dialogue and diplomacy as the main path to achieving peace in the region. The Pakistan-China Five-Point Peace Initiative, aimed at resolving issues through peaceful means, was also discussed, and it was reported that both sides agreed to remain in contact.
