German Chancellor Merz spoke with Netanyahu about achieving a ceasefire
Berlin, July 27 (Hibya) – German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated that he called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and urged him to help achieve a ceasefire.
Chancellor Merz said he urged Netanyahu to do everything in his power to secure an immediate ceasefire and demanded that urgently needed humanitarian aid be allowed to reach the starving civilian population in Gaza without delay.
He noted that they would closely monitor developments and added: “In coordination with France, the UK, other European partners, the US, and Arab countries, we will decide in the coming days how we can contribute to improving the situation.”
