President Zelensky stated that he approved the National Security and Defense Council’s new sanctions decisions. He noted that the first was synchronizing European sanctions within Ukraine’s jurisdiction. He continued:

"As of now, all 18 sanctions packages are fully implemented and effective in Ukraine. The restrictions in the 18th package specifically target structures linked to Russia’s shadow tanker fleet and 53 individuals and entities from Russia, China, Iran, and other countries."

"Our second sanctions decision today targets Russian military production. Restrictions have been imposed on over 90 companies involved in extracting rare earth elements and critical metals needed for the production of electronics, guidance systems, engines, and unmanned aerial vehicles."
