Guterres: We cannot stand by in the face of injustice or impunity
New York, January 22 (Hibya) – UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres stressed that indifference is unacceptable at a time of rising global uncertainty and injustice.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres issued a statement on current global crises and disruptions in the world order.
Describing the conditions the world is facing, Guterres said: “In a world filled with conflict, impunity, inequality and unpredictability, there is no room for indifference, denial or delay.”
Emphasizing that the global community must take responsibility, Guterres concluded: “We cannot stand by in the face of injustice, indifference or impunity. We have the power to chart a different course.”
