According to the IDF statement, under the direction of the Northern Command and with the support of the Air Force, an operation was carried out against an infrastructure affiliated with Hezbollah’s construction unit in the Tyre area of southern Lebanon.

The statement noted that this infrastructure was being used to produce equipment intended for the reconstruction of facilities destroyed during the war. It continued:

“The activities of Hezbollah-affiliated elements within this infrastructure constitute a violation of the existing understandings between Israel and Lebanon. The Israel Defense Forces will continue to act to eliminate any threats directed at the country’s territory.”
