The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that dozens of Israeli citizens attempted to cross into Syrian territory and that security forces intervened to prevent the crossing.

According to the IDF statement, the incident occurred earlier today, with troops stationed along the border stopping and detaining the individuals. The detainees were subsequently handed over to the Israel Police for the necessary legal procedures.

The statement stressed that attempts to breach the border pose serious security risks and endanger both Israeli soldiers and civilians. The IDF strongly condemned the attempts and stated that the incident is being treated as a criminal offense.
