Iranian spokesperson Baqaei: Iran, with its north and south, is one single body
Tehran, July 15 (Hibya) – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei emphasized Iran's geographical and cultural unity, criticizing references that describe the country by dividing it into regions.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei made remarks regarding references to Iran based on its geographical regions.
In a social media post, Baqaei argued that expressions such as "southern Iran" are intended to create a perception that divides the country into separate parts, stressing that Iran cannot be defined solely by its geographical boundaries.
Baqaei stated that Iran is not a collection of separate northern, southern, eastern, and western regions, but rather "one single body and one interconnected soul," emphasizing that every part of the country—from its mountains and seas to its coasts and deserts—is an integral part of Iran.
Comparing Iran to a heart beating throughout history, Baqaei said that every Iranian regards all regions of the country as a shared national value.
Concluding his statement, Baqaei described Iran as "the heart of the Earth," reiterating his emphasis on the country's unity and territorial integrity.
