Israel issued a statement regarding the intervention against a flotilla, citing maritime navigation safety and the prevention of violations of the imposed blockade.

The statement said the operation was conducted in international waters within the framework of international law, was completed peacefully and resulted in no casualties.

The Israeli side claimed that elements linked to Hamas and certain provocative groups were behind the flotilla, alleging that the initiative had political motives and aimed to affect the progress of the U.S. peace plan.

It was also claimed that the flotilla did not carry humanitarian aid and that initial inspections detected various types of materials, arguing that the operation became necessary within the framework of navigation safety and legal responsibilities.

Israel emphasized its commitment to freedom of navigation in international maritime transport and stated that it will continue to act within the framework of security and law in similar situations.
