Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar stated that he was honored to host German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul, the first foreign minister to visit Jerusalem since Israel launched Operation "Roaring Lion".

Saar noted that they visited together the site of the Iranian missile attack in Beit Shemesh and met with the families of some of the victims. Minister Saar said:

"The joint operation we are conducting together with the United States against the Iranian terror regime is preventing the proliferation of nuclear weapons and a nuclear arms race in the most dangerous region of the world. We appreciate Germany's moral leadership in the process of designating the Iranian Revolutionary Guards as a terrorist organization in the European Union."
