Jetten: We must build a new foundation for social security and a competitive economy
Amsterdam, October 9 (Hibya) - Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten said the government, trade unions and employers want to build a new socioeconomic foundation for the country’s future, adding that sustainable social security and a strong, competitive economy should be addressed together.
Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten commented on the social consensus process, the European Union’s multiannual budget and the visit of European Council President Antonio Costa during his weekly press conference following the Cabinet meeting.
Jetten said the government, trade unions and employers feel a sense of urgency about building a new socioeconomic foundation and want to work together to prepare the country for the future.
Jetten said that future should include a solid and sustainable social security system alongside a strong and competitive economy.
