Kallas: Sanctions against Russia should be increased
Brussels, August 21 (Hibya) - European Commission Vice-President Kaja Kallas condemned Russia’s attack on a shopping center in Kryvyi Rih and called for increased sanctions against Moscow.
European Commission Vice-President Kallas made a statement regarding Russia’s attack on a shopping center in the Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih.
Kallas stated that the attack was a “grave indication” of Russia’s war in Ukraine, arguing that Moscow aims to make Ukrainian cities uninhabitable.
Stating that the EU had prepared one of the most comprehensive sanctions lists against Russia since the beginning of the war, Kallas said pressure on Moscow must be increased until it ends the war.
Kallas also announced that EU foreign and defense ministers would meet in Dublin in approximately two weeks to discuss expanding support for Ukraine and issues related to air and missile defense.
