Kallas: We are assessing closer cooperation with India
New Delhi, Jan. 26 (Hibya) – European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission Kaja Kallas said that the process toward closer cooperation with India is moving forward.
Kallas noted that there is strong momentum toward closer cooperation with India and that this process is being advanced.
Calling it an honor to participate in India’s Republic Day celebrations, Kallas said, “As a symbol of our deepening ties, personnel from the Atalanta and Aspides vessels serving in our EU naval operations are taking part in the parade for the first time.”
Kallas added that at the summit they will sign the EU–India Security and Defence Partnership Agreement, which will further advance relations and deliver concrete results in areas such as maritime security, cybersecurity, and counterterrorism.
