During her visit to Stockholm, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas met with senior officials of the Swedish government.

Speaking about her meetings with the Swedish Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Maria Stenergard and Defense Minister Pal Jonson, Kallas said, “It was a pleasure to be in Stockholm. Sweden has stood by Ukraine since the beginning of Russia's war of aggression.”

Sharing the main agenda items of the talks, Kallas stated, “In my discussions with Foreign Minister Maria Stenergard and Defense Minister Pal Jonson, we addressed our support for Ukraine, measures against Russia's shadow fleet, Baltic Sea security, and our priorities to strengthen European defense.”

Kallas concluded, “Europe is at a critical turning point. Together, we will shape the next phase of European security.”
