Lula da Silva: Panama is Brazil’s most important partner in Central America
Panama, 28 January (Hibya) – Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva announced that he is in Panama to attend the Latin America International Economic Forum and to meet with Panamanian President Jose Raul Mulino.
Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva made statements regarding his visit to Panama and the trade relations between the two countries.
Speaking about his visit program, Lula said, “We have arrived in Panama. This Wednesday, I will attend the Latin America International Economic Forum and meet with President Jose Raul Mulino.”
Referring to Panama’s strategic importance, Lula stated, “Panama is Brazil’s most important partner in Central America, and bilateral trade volume reached a record level of 1.6 billion US dollars in 2025.”
