Lula: We are launching a national restructuring campaign for debtors
Brasilia, May 5 (Hibya) – Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva announced that he has signed the “New Desenrola Brasil” provisional measure.
Lula stated that the program will enable indebted citizens to restructure their debts, clear their records, and restart their economic lives, announcing the launch of a 90-day national campaign.
He also referred to new regulations regarding student loans and small businesses, noting that overdue loans will be restructured and access to credit for micro and small enterprises will be facilitated.
Lula added that participants in the program will automatically be barred from accessing betting and gambling for one year, stating, “This is an opportunity to start again and revive the economy.”
