Istanbul, July 8 (Hibya) - Major currencies displayed mixed performance during trading in the global foreign exchange markets.

The euro/US dollar exchange rate rose 0.05 percent to 1.1417, while the US dollar/Japanese yen pair gained 0.20 percent to trade at 162.29. The British pound/US dollar pair also advanced 0.03 percent to 1.3356.
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate increased 0.05 percent to 46.8530, while the US dollar/Swiss franc pair rose 0.07 percent to 0.8084. In contrast, the US dollar/Canadian dollar pair declined 0.11 percent to 1.185.
Among other currency pairs, the euro/Japanese yen climbed 0.17 percent to 185.29. The Australian dollar/US dollar pair rose 0.23 percent to 0.6943, while the New Zealand dollar/US dollar pair advanced 0.65 percent to 0.5716. The euro/British pound pair also traded 0.04 percent higher at 0.8547.
