North Macedonia's Foreign Minister Mucunski met with UNESCO officials
Skopje, February 11 (Hibya) - Mucunski pledged to strengthen cooperation to preserve the World Heritage status of the Ohrid Region.
North Macedonia's Foreign Minister Mucunski, along with the government delegation and mayors of Ohrid and Struga, held separate meetings with UNESCO Director-General Khaled El-Enany and Executive Board Chair Nasser bin Hamad Al Hinzab in Paris.
Mucunski emphasized that the focus of this first-ever meeting was on the Ohrid Region's natural and cultural World Heritage status. The importance of implementing conservation proposals in a timely and consistent manner was highlighted. Furthermore, a commitment was made to continue cooperation with Albania through existing mechanisms for long-term and sustainable conservation.
