Pakistan FM Dar highlights strategic cooperation during China visit
Shanghai, July 17 (Hibya) - Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said his visit to Shanghai reaffirmed the two countries' shared commitment to advancing their strategic cooperation.

In a post on social media, Dar thanked the Chinese government and leadership for their hospitality and arrangements throughout the visit.
He also congratulated Chinese President Xi Jinping on his speech at the opening ceremony of the World AI Cooperation Organization, highlighting Xi's remarks that artificial intelligence is an important asset embodying humanity's collective wisdom.
Referring to his meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Dar said both sides reaffirmed their commitment to advancing the Pakistan-China "All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership."
He noted that discussions covered high-quality development under KPEC 2.0, as well as the Siah Diq mining project and the Karakoram Highway Realignment Project. Other areas of bilateral cooperation identified during Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's official visit in May 2025 were also discussed.
Dar thanked the accompanying delegation as well as officials from Pakistan's Mission in China and the Consulate General in Shanghai for their support, adding: "I am returning to Islamabad for an important week of diplomatic engagements and other official responsibilities."
