Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

In his message marking August 5 "Youm-e-Istehsal," Dar argued that the unilateral measures taken by India on August 5, 2019 regarding the status of Jammu and Kashmir were in violation of international law.

Dar said Pakistan commemorates the day "in solidarity with the people of Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir," reaffirming its support for the Kashmiri people's right to self-determination.

The statement said that "the measures taken on August 5, 2019 and the policies implemented thereafter have further complicated efforts for peace and stability in South Asia and have negatively affected the lives, rights, and freedoms of the people of Kashmir."

Dar called on the international community to play a more active role in ensuring respect for international law, international humanitarian law, and human rights.

He said Pakistan calls on India to halt any steps aimed at changing the internationally recognized disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir, arguing that lasting peace can only be achieved through a resolution of the Kashmir issue in line with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.

Dar also stated that Pakistan would continue its "moral, political, and diplomatic support" for the people of Kashmir and urged the international community, particularly the United Nations, to make greater efforts toward a peaceful resolution of the issue.
