Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister Dar in China for AI agreement
Shanghai, July 16 (Hibya) - Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, arrived in Shanghai, China, for an official visit taking place on July 16–17, 2026.

During the visit, Dar will attend the signing ceremony of the founding agreement of the World AI Cooperation Organization (WAICO).
Representing Pakistan as a founding member, Dar will sign the agreement and will also attend the opening ceremony of the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference on July 17.
According to Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dar will also hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts during the visit.
Upon his arrival in Shanghai, Dar was welcomed by Wu Wei, Member of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and Vice Mayor of Shanghai, Pakistan's Chargé d'Affaires to China Aizaz Khan, and Pakistan's Consul General in Shanghai Shahzad Ahmad Khan.
