Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemns attack in Yasuf
Jerusalem, October 1 (Hibya) - The Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemned an attack in the town of Yasuf, east of Salfit in the occupied West Bank, in which a Palestinian was killed, and called for those responsible to be held accountable.
The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates issued a statement regarding the attack in the town of Yasuf, east of Salfit.
The ministry said in its statement that 51-year-old Mashhour Shaher Mohammed Yasin died from his injuries following an attack that it said was carried out under the protection and support of Israeli forces, while another Palestinian was injured. The statement also alleged that Israeli forces detained an ambulance, took its key and threw it away.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry argued that Yasin's death demonstrated a dangerous escalation of ongoing attacks in the West Bank. The ministry called on the international community to activate mechanisms to protect the Palestinian people and ensure accountability for those responsible for the attacks.
The statement also called for sanctions against settlers and settlement activity in the West Bank, an end to relations with institutions and companies linked to settlements, and an end to the Israeli occupation.
