Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic stated that the passenger terminal at Zadar Airport has been renovated and expanded, noting that the airport now provides connections to more than 60 destinations across Europe and is served by 15 airlines.

Referring to the airport's impact on the region, Plenkovic said that the airport, which continues to record steady growth in passenger numbers and traffic, contributes significantly to the development of tourism in the Zadar region and neighboring counties.

Highlighting the government's infrastructure support for the aviation sector, Plenkovic said: "By continuously investing in the airports of Zagreb, Split, Dubrovnik, Osijek, Brac, Pula, Rijeka and Mali Losinj, our government reaffirms the importance of air transport for Croatian tourism."

Clarifying the financing and environmental aspects of the project, Plenkovic added: "This investment, financed through a loan from ZL funds, is part of broader investments by the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure (MMPI), which also utilize funding from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NPOO)."
