The Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement regarding drone attacks on commercial vessels in the exclusive economic zones of Romania and Bulgaria.

The statement drew attention to the importance of freedom of navigation in the Black Sea and said that attacks on civilian vessels were unacceptable. It also stated that the attacks threatened not only regional security but also global supply chains and food security.

The Portuguese Foreign Ministry's statement also tagged Romanian Foreign Minister Oana Toiu and Bulgarian Foreign Ministry official Velislava Petrova.
