Qatar welcomes U.S. decision on Syria
Doha, July 9 (Hibya) - Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the United States' decision to launch the process of removing Syria from the list of state sponsors of terrorism as a positive step that will contribute to Syria's and the region's stability.
In a statement, Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the announcement by the United States that it has launched the process of removing the Syrian Arab Republic from the list of state sponsors of terrorism.
The statement said the move represents a positive development for supporting stability in Syria and the wider region, as well as advancing the political process in line with international resolutions and the expectations of the Syrian people.
The ministry reaffirmed Qatar's support for the unity, sovereignty and independence of the Syrian Arab Republic, stressing that it will continue to stand in solidarity with the Syrian people's aspirations for security, stability and prosperity.
