Qatari FM Al Thani meets UN Secretary-General Guterres
New York, July 29 (Hibya) – Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani met with UN Secretary-General António Guterres during the International Conference on the Peaceful Resolution of the Palestinian Issue and Implementation of the Two-State Solution held in New York.
The meeting addressed cooperation between the State of Qatar and the United Nations, developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, joint efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza, ways to advance international efforts for a peaceful resolution to the Palestinian issue and implementation of the two-state solution, as well as a number of regional and international topics of common interest.
Al Thani reaffirmed Qatar’s firm stance in supporting the Palestinian cause until the Palestinian people regain all their legitimate rights.
