Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov met with his Chinese counterpart Yi
Kuala Lumpur, July 10 (Hibya) – Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a meeting with the Foreign Minister of the People's Republic of China, Wang Yi.
According to a statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry, Lavrov said, "The global scope and strategic nature of our relationship has once again been confirmed." He also noted that he hoped to focus primarily on the Asia-Pacific region.
Lavrov added, "I am confident that we will once again highlight the central role of ASEAN in developing cooperation mechanisms with the countries represented at these events."
He continued: "We will talk about the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, currently chaired by our Chinese friends. Topics like BRICS, the G20, and Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation constantly require our attention."
