Spanish Prime Minister Sanchez, in a message issued on the occasion of Extremadura Day, congratulated the people of Extremadura on their special day. Sanchez described Extremadura as a region with rich cultural diversity and history.

Sanchez said the region has a character that seeks opportunities, knows how to struggle and is determined to move forward, adding that people should continue working together for a better, fairer and more solidarity-based future.

In his message marking Asturias Day, Sanchez described Asturias as a natural and cultural paradise. Saying that the region's greatest heritage is its Asturian women and men, Sanchez stated that the people of Asturias are an example of resilience, solidarity and commitment.

Sanchez emphasized the need to continue working for progress, equality and social justice.
