Finnish President Alexander Stubb said that, as part of Moldovan President Maia Sandu’s working visit, they discussed European security and cooperation between the two countries.

Stubb said Moldova and Finland are close partners, adding, “Moldova’s future is in Europe, and Finland supports Moldova’s progress toward European Union membership. We are working together for Europe’s future.”

Highlighting the importance of Moldova’s knowledge and experience in countering Russia’s hybrid activities, Stubb said, “Moldova’s know-how and experience in countering Russia’s hybrid activities are valuable to all of us.”

Stubb also said Finland’s comprehensive security model provides a good foundation for deepening cooperation.
