Minister Sybiha said that he held the phone call with Minister Cho Hyun to thank South Korea for its support of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and to reaffirm their interest in deepening bilateral relations.

He noted that both sides confirmed their commitment to work together to develop mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation and political dialogue at various levels, adding: “We also exchanged views on regional and common security threats arising from the deepening military-technical cooperation between Russia and North Korea.”

Sybiha added that they coordinated actions in multilateral forums, including South Korea’s Presidency of the UN Security Council, and compared notes ahead of the UN General Assembly’s high-level week.
