Sybiha held a productive meeting in Yerevan with Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand as part of the European Political Community Summit.

Sybiha thanked Canada for its contributions to the PURL initiative and its ongoing military assistance, emphasizing that support, especially during the winter period, is vital for the Ukrainian army and civilians. He also raised the issue of a high-level meeting to be held in Brussels on May 11 regarding the return of Ukrainian children.

Minister Sybiha provided information on the situation at the front, ongoing peace efforts, and Ukraine’s progress toward EU membership, noting that reforms and security measures are continuing.

Sybiha also held a meeting in Yerevan with Kaja Kallas. The talks addressed the battlefield situation, Russian attacks, and developments on Ukraine’s defense line.

The parties exchanged views on the regional situation in the South Caucasus and Armenia’s increasing integration with Europe. It was emphasized that hosting the European Political Community Summit in Yerevan sends an important message about strengthening ties between Europe and the region.

The meetings resulted in an agreement to accelerate Ukraine’s EU accession process, advance concrete steps, and continue diplomatic coordination. Sybiha stated that close contact with all parties will continue.
