Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that President Putin’s remarks reflect disdain for the United States’ efforts to promote peace.

Referring to today’s speech by Putin, Sybiha noted the part about a Russian soldier’s leg as particularly striking, saying:

“Putin doesn’t care in the slightest about the legs of Russian soldiers torn apart by Ukrainian drones. He is also a mass murderer of his own people. Without achieving any strategic objectives, he has already sacrificed one million Russian soldiers in a senseless bloodbath in Ukraine. One million soldiers. Two million legs. And while Putin sends Russian legs to invade other countries, he is economically bringing the Russian people to their knees at home.”
