According to a statement by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, Russia carried out a large-scale overnight attack on Odesa and the surrounding area using ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as combat drones.

Sybiha said that a residential building was severely damaged and civilians were injured in the attack, calling for Ukraine’s air defence to be strengthened with additional systems and interceptors.

Sybiha also said that comprehensive sanctions should be imposed on Russia’s military-industrial complex, stressing that Russia’s capacity to produce such means of attack must be curtailed.
