Sybiha: We will host the 5th Ukraine–Southeast Europe Summit
Kyiv, July 15 (Hibya) - Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said that the 5th Ukraine–Southeast Europe Summit, to be held in Kyiv on the occasion of Ukraine's Statehood Day, is a logical continuation of the previous meetings held in Athens, Tirana, Dubrovnik, and Odesa.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha spoke about the summit in Kyiv, the meetings to be held with European Union (EU) and regional leaders, and the areas of cooperation.
Highlighting the high-level participation, Sybiha said, "Kyiv is welcoming distinguished high-level guests on the occasion of Ukraine's Statehood Day. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and the leaders of Southeast Europe will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for productive talks. We will host the Fifth Ukraine–Southeast Europe Summit to reaffirm our partnership and cooperation on Ukraine's path toward the European Union."
Outlining the summit's main agenda items, Sybiha stated, "The focus will be on working together to strengthen Europe, enhancing multilateral political engagement, and reinforcing security and defense cooperation."
Emphasizing the regional continuity of the summit, Sybiha concluded, "Holding the Fifth Ukraine–Southeast Europe Summit in Kyiv is a logical continuation of the previous meetings in this format held in Athens, Tirana, Dubrovnik, and Odesa."
