Syrian Arab Republic President Ahmed Shara paid an official visit to Bellevue Palace in Berlin, the capital of Germany, together with a delegation that included Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Minister Asaad Hasan Al-Shaibani, Economy Minister Nidal Shaar, and Energy Minister Mohammad Bashir.

The delegation was welcomed by German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

Shara met with President Steinmeier to discuss relations between the two countries and ways to develop them in various fields, as well as the parties’ determination to expand cooperation in line with mutual interests.

The two sides emphasized the importance of strengthening political and economic dialogue between Syria and Germany.
