U.S. President Donald Trump stated that they rescued a severely injured F-15 crew member/officer from deep within Iran’s mountains.

Trump said, “The Iranian army was conducting an intensive search and had approached us. He is a highly respected colonel,” adding that such operations are rarely attempted due to the risks to “personnel and equipment.”

Trump also said, “The second operation followed the first, and this time we rescued the pilot during the daytime — which is unusual — we spent seven hours over Iran.”

President Trump also noted that he will hold a press conference with the military at 13:00 on Monday in the Oval Office.
