Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna made a statement regarding the visit of his Canadian counterpart Anita Anand to Tallinn and the diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Highlighting the depth of relations between the two countries, Tsahkna said, “The opening of Canada’s Embassy in Estonia is an important milestone reflecting the strength and depth of our bilateral relations and our shared commitment to transatlantic security.”

Emphasizing their appreciation for Canada’s role in the region and in Ukraine, Tsahkna stated, “Estonia highly appreciates Canada’s strong presence and leadership on NATO’s Eastern Flank, as well as its unwavering support for Ukraine.”

Also congratulating his counterpart on her birthday, Tsahkna concluded his statement by saying, “Welcome to Estonia and happy birthday, dear Anita.”
