Ukraine and Czech Republic discuss defense cooperation and strategic partnership
Kyiv, July 29 (Hibya) – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha held a meeting with Tomas Pojar, National Security and Foreign Policy Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic.
Foreign Minister Sybiha stated that Ukraine greatly values the Czech Republic’s comprehensive support, its defense assistance, and especially the initiative to supply artillery ammunition.
He announced that, through joint efforts with European partners and Czech coordination, approximately 1.8 million artillery shells are planned to be delivered to the Ukrainian army by the end of the year. “These steps not only strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities but also make a significant contribution to European and Euro-Atlantic security. We also discussed the potential to expand our military-technical cooperation.”
Sybiha thanked the Czech side for its commitment to strategic partnership and joint efforts to ensure fair peace and security in Europe.
