Kyiv, August 21 (Hibya) - Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said that at least 14 people were killed and more than 100 were injured in an attack that he said Russia carried out on a shopping center in Kryvyi Rih. Sybiha stated that 11 children were among those killed.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Sybiha made a statement regarding Russia’s attack on a shopping center in Kryvyi Rih.
Sybiha claimed that Russia targeted the shopping center and carried out a second attack after emergency response teams arrived at the scene. He said at least 14 people were killed and more than 100 were injured in the attacks, adding that 11 children were among the victims.
Describing the attacks as “terrorism,” Sybiha argued that strikes aimed at increasing civilian casualties demonstrate Russia’s methods of warfare.
Sybiha stated that those responsible for the attacks must be held accountable and called on the international community to take action.
Stating that every war crime should be met with stronger sanctions, Sybiha called for increased sanctions, particularly against Russia’s military-industrial complex and the elements supporting this structure.
Sybiha said defense support for Ukraine must also be strengthened, highlighting the importance of sanctions and air defense systems in limiting Russia’s attack capabilities.
